Compendium on the quantum probing of Ohmic environments

We present recent results on the quantum estimation of parameters characterizing structured Ohmic environments, by means of probing with both continuous- and discrete-variables quantum systems. In particular, we investigate the optimal strategies to estimate the cutoff frequency and the temperature of Ohmic environments, through quantum probing with Gaussian states and qubit states.
