Darren Moore Passes PhD Viva

Last updated June 8, 2017 by Andrew Brown

Congratulations to Darren Moore who this week passed his Viva Voce exam. His external assessor was Dr. Alessio Serafini from University College London.

Darren was supervised by Dr. Alessandro Ferraro and worked on Quantum state reconstruction and computation with mechanical networks.

In his time at CTAMOP, Darren has become an expert in techniques for the inference of quantum states of many-body boson systems and their use in the context of quantum optomechanics. He has explored the implications of his methods for quantum computing with boson systems, and in particular the application to measurement-based quantum computing.

Darren is currently looking for a postdoc position to continue his research.
