Abstract:
The Schur product is defined as the entry-wise product of two matrices, a definition which can be readily extended to infinite dimensional matrices (that correspond to the bounded linear operators on a separable Hilbert space), or to the Schur âmultipliersâ operating on those spaces. This talk considers the characterisations of those linear maps which either respect the Schur product or which preserve the null products on these spaces.
