Abstract:

This event will take place online. Please contact the colloquium organiser (Florian Pausinger) if you wish to attend.

Sheaves sit in an interface of algebra and topology. I will introduce the concept and show how sheaves give us a notion of local data and global data. The first aim is to justify the slogan sheaves coherently index data by open sets of a topological space. The second aim is to introduce sheaves with group actions giving some indications of current and future research.
