Abstract:
Sequences occur in many real-world applications, such as DNA sequences and traversal orders from one page to another on web. Measuring similarity between sequences is key to understanding the hidden structures in sequences. This talk will present two algorithms to compute similarity (1) between two sequences and (2) for a set of sequences which do not have repeating items, using all common subsequences.
This event will take place online. Please contact the colloquium organiser (Florian Pausinger) if you wish to attend.
